Small game hunters often look forward to the annual fall experience of the outdoors in Northwestern Ontario.  The Dryden region offers vast areas of rugged wilderness in a unique geographic area of the Canadian Shield.

Grouse Hunting

Though Dryden is somewhat off the beaten path, many of our hunting guests return year after year.  For them, it's worth the few extra miles to enjoy the small game hunting without the crowd of hunters found in other areas.

Almost all of our area is crown land and open to hunting. There is no need to be knocking on doors trying to get permission to hunt. You have the option of hunting old logging roads or just boat down the lake and follow some of the endless snowmobile trails throughout our lake systems.

You will find that most of our birds have seen very little or no hunting pressure, which will help improve your success greatly.

Duck Hunt

With the sheer numbers of ducks, Canadian geese, other waterfowl and game birds in the Sunset Country region of Ontario, Canada make it a bird hunters paradise. Located directly north of the State of Minnesota and with its thousands of lakes and water systems, Sunset Country is along a major migration flyway for several species of waterfowl.

Nature’s bounty is what makes the Sunset Country region a high quality duck hunting destination. Extensive beds of wild rice on the many lakes provide important forage for hungry, migrating birds and the ideal setting for a fall waterfowl hunt. Bring your hunting dog, hunt remote areas accessible only by hovercraft and enjoy the natural beauty of the backcountry areas of Northwest Ontario.

Your choices of accommodation include our famous full service American Plan lodge where meals are included, or housekeeping cabins where you set the pace and location for each day of hunting. Some of our lakes have remote islands located right along the bird's fall migration fly way - hunts a maze of islands and wild rice bays.
